Salt Heat therapy is a traditional natural remedy for pain relief since ancient times. Salt has a low-temperature point, which means it can hold hot temperature evenly. When heat pad gets heated in the microwave, the salt crystal absorbs the heat and keep the heat pad warm for an extended period.
It is one of the most common treatments for ache and inflammation after injuries. The therapy is especially useful for sprains, strains, and pulled muscles or ligaments.
The Lavender salt pad is one of the best non-electric heating pad on the market and features negative ions which penetrates heat deep into the body and below the skin. These negative ions reach the bloodstream and produce a biochemical reaction to relieve stress, alleviate depression, boost energy and increase defence against infection.
How Heating Pads Work:
When the heat gets placed on your skin, it decreases the sensation of pain. Heat stimulates thermo receptors, which block your body’s pain transmitters from sending pain signals to your brain.
The heating pad increases circulation to the injured or sore area, and help more oxygen and nutrients get to the damaged tissue.
The Heating pad helps stretch soft tissues and relax sore muscles, therefore, promotes flexibility and decreases stiffness.
